Connecting Cal.com

Cal.com is the connector that books end to end on any plan: the agent checks your availability, offers times, and books the one the caller chooses while they are still on the line. It also fits businesses whose bookings aren't all the same shape — a menu of services, or tables with seats — because you tell it once how you take bookings and it asks callers for the right things.

How you take bookings

  • Single booking type — one appointment type; the agent checks availability and books it.
  • Service menu — several services with their own durations and prices, each a Cal.com event type; the agent tells callers what you offer, answers what each takes and costs, and books the right one. Services on your own calendar are free in Cal.com; services hosted by different staff members need a Cal.com Teams plan.
  • Capacity / party bookings — one bookable slot type with seats, like tables; each booking records a party size. Needs "Offer seats" switched on for the event type in Cal.com.

What your agent can do

  • Check availability. Open times up to a week ahead.
  • Book a meeting. With the caller's name and email address, read back and confirmed before anything is created.
  • Find a booking. Looked up by the email address the caller booked with — the agent checks here before saying anything about when a booking is.
  • Cancel a booking. Only one it has found, only when the caller clearly asks, and confirmed first — it cannot be undone.
  • List the services. On a service menu, the answer to "what do you offer?" — read straight from your settings, so the caller is never kept waiting for it.

Connecting your Cal.com account

  1. In Cal.com, go to Settings → Developer → API keys and create a key with no expiry.
  2. Open Actions & Integration, press Connect on the Cal.com card, and paste the key. We check it works before saving it, and it is stored encrypted and never shown again.
  3. Choose how you take bookings and which event types the agent offers. Times are read to callers in your Cal.com profile's time zone until you pick a different one here.
